POW/MIA wings

Jay Stargaard with Stargaard Art welded and handcrafted the magnificent steel wings of character LT Williams featured in the Purple Foxes United story.

Each dog tag feather represents a POW/MIA Vietnam War veteran - 1577 still Missing In Action at present.   

HONOR RIDE 2021
Honor Ride 2021 launched the cross-country endeavor to remember our POW/MIA Vietnam War veterans.

MISSION:  To place 1577 dog tags on the super hero character LT Williams' steel wings representing the Missing In Action Vietnam War veterans.  

Honor Flight alumni veterans are highlighted in the Purple Foxes United project, and for that reason the name of the endeavor became known as Honor Ride and was led by Battle of the Bulge machine gunner Vincent J. Speranza, one of the distinguished veterans featured  in the Purple Foxes United story.   

Every year in May, motorcycle organizations throughout our nation ride to the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC,  as a tribute to the fallen Vietnam War veterans.

UPDATE:

Mission Accomplished - As of July 4, 2023, 1577 dog tags representing the MIA from the Vietnam War were embossed and placed on the POW/MIA Wings thanks to the generous support of Logo Tags with Ball Chain Manufacturing.
